Wow, a whole week between posts.
I found out on Friday that my project, that looked like it was going to be extended through the end of this year, is terminated this coming Friday. No funding. All contractors in this department let go. Bummer. Time to job hunt again -- w00t!
Diet update:
Day 10 (Wed): 137 pounds
Day 11: 138
Day 12: 137
Day 13: 137
Day 14: 136
Day 15: 136 <--- official 2-week weight
Day 16: 136
Day 17 (today): 136
Still no sweet drinks (coke's or sweet iced tea). Moved onto "Phase 2," where you are allowed some fruit and whole-grain breads in moderation.
Wow, 3 pounds in 2 weeks, 2 the first week, 1 the second week. To be honest, I had already lost some weight before starting this. I worked at Publix (a grocery store) for 5 months, in the Produce department. You have to lift things that are sometimes a little heavy (50 lbs of potatoes). The part you, as the customer, do not see is that we have to lift everything 4 times.
1: Lift from wherever we keep it (floor, back room, etc.) to a cart
2: Lift what is already on the shelf, to move it somewhere else
3: Lift from the cart to the shelf
4: Lift from where we moved the original product back on top of the new stuff.
This way, the newer stuff is on the bottom, so the old stuff doesn't just sit there and rot. The customers don't seem to appreciate when they pick up something and it is moldy or rotten. blech.
Sayonara!
